Choose a book:
The Sunday Times bestseller Ask Me His Name by Elle Wright – a moving account of Elle’s pregnancy, her son Teddy’s life and what happens when a mother leaves hospital with empty arms. In this honest and hopeful exploration of mothering, Elle shows how she navigated a parenthood that no one had prepared her for.
Look for the effin’ Rainbows by Irene Wignall – this debut book by police detective turned author Irene will make you laugh out loud one minute and reduce you to tears in the next. It is a story of life’s small moments and its momentous events (having suffered a still birth this is covered in the book) Irene is unflinchingly honest in her account of life which has been a rollercoaster. Irene started writing as a way of dealing with some very big events in her life and the process became similar to counselling sessions – without the cost.
If these books don’t suit then choose some delicious Lottie Shaw’s biscuits instead.
